It is not difficult to see why it has won this award. It is well priced, stylish and takes excellent photos.
The Best Rugged Model – Olympus Tough 8000: Hikers, white water rafters, mountain bikers, divers, and other outdoor enthusiasts will usually need a rugged camera to bring along with them on their adventures. The Olympus Tough 8000 is a shockproof (for falls up to 5 feet), waterproof (for dives up to 30 feet) and freeze-proof (up to -10 degrees Celsius). It comes with a 12MP sensor, 3.6x in optical zoom and a 2.7″ LCD display. It is a little more expensive that other models in the market, but considering the amount of modes and features that comes with it, it is worth every penny spent.

is Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR a good camera?
i’m planning to buy a digital camera..
i want to know if the Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR has a great image quality..if not, pls give me some names of other cameras that have great image quality…
For a compact camera, the Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR has a large sensor size (1/1.6 “)
Because of it’s larger sensor, it’s pixel density is 25 MP/cm^2, which is definitely good for the compact size (most of the compact cameras seem to be around 30 MP/cm^2–and the smaller pixel densities are typically better)
Basically, the lower the number of the pixel density, the more light that can reach each pixel, and the less “noise” occurs that would need to be reduced through noise reduction processing.
Several other things also factor into its image quality, such as it’s aperture range, image-processing engine, color management, and lens quality.
Unfortunately for you, I’m not an expert on any of those (although I do think that the lower the number on the aperture, the more light that will go through–and you would want a wide aperture range with a low number).
The camera does come equipped with the EXR technology, which seems to be a major plus. I don’t know how well it actually works, but it seems like cutting edge technology that will improve your image quality, especially for those low-light situations.
I’m not sure how much into photography you are, what type of pictures you plan to shoot, or how great of an image quality you truly need.
I don’t own the camera, but based on the specifications, it seems like an excellent camera.
