fuji finepix v10
how do i download photos from my fuji finepix V10?
I use to download my photos via the memory card but i haven’t got the same comp any more and the memory card doesn’t fit in to it. I have a usb lead but when i plug that and the camera in it registers that i have plugged the camera in but how do i get te photos off? do i need some sort of disc?
I have tried that, there’s no removable disc coming up?
Forget about trying to download directly from the camera to the computer. That is, and always has been, a very poor way of doing it. Use a CARD READER instead. It plugs into your computer USB slot and stays there. You then just take the card out of your camera, stick it in the card reader, and download the photos from the card into the computer. It is basically the same thing that your previous computer was doing. It had the card reader function built into the computer, you now simply just need to get an external reader to plug into your current computer. Card readers are cheap, and most of them can read several different types of cards so it will still be usable if you get a different camera that uses a different card than what you are now using.
When you use a card reader, you do not have to download the typical poor software that comes with the camera.
