Fuji Finepix 5800 or Fuji Finepix S1000fd?
Hi I was wondering which one of the two cameras I should buy, I only need a good camera, I don’t need a super camera with features im probably never going to use.
I want a good Micro capability in both quality and ability to get close up to the object, I also want a camera which is able to take good outside pictures, eg of a autumn forest.
I would like a camera with a few customisable features, but like I said before I don’t need to much.
The choice seems obvious at first to go for Fuji S1000fd but if you read on it seems to say other wise, i’ve also looked around and found both good and bad reviews for both. Most leaning in favour towards the Fuji S1000fd.

i own a fuji s9600, and an Olypus digital SLR (e500) i got teh fuji as a backup and the kids use it… they like it… i dont.
the fuji is so limiting in terms of what it does. image preview (post shot) is eith nothing, or 1.5seconds.. and yuo cant take another photo… for 1.5 seconds! my olympus would have done 4 frames by then… the LCD viewfinder sucks, the olympus is a true optica thru the lens… and its crystal clear.
the olympus goes to F22, the fuji F8. and theres lots of little niggles, but theyre just niggles… fuji do good cameras, they just arent as good as the olympus, which costs about hte same price. (E500, £200-250 quid on ebay)
