Transfer pictures from computer back to camera? HELP!?
My dad just (accidentally) deleted all of the pictures off my Finepix J15fd digital camera.
Luckily, I had saved all the pictures on my computer with a finepix program that came with the camera. Through that I was able to get into the finepix help menu and I found an option that said ‘tranfer pictures from PC to camera’
There were two options under the ‘transfer pictures to camera’ in the help menu that asked which type of camera mine was (a PTP or DSC).
Depending on the type of camera you have you choose the option that corresponds. I am not sure what type my finepix J15fd camera is so I tried both options but wasnt able to get either to work.
Not sure if it just my lack in computer skills! But I would really appreciate it if someone could please help.
I can see you are using your camera as a viewing device. Not recommended since it uses up the power in your cameras battery. Most LCD’s on P&S cameras are tiny so not a very good way of displaying your images. If you do not format the card routinely, you may end up with a corrupted card eventually
If you hope to be able to view image files you put back on your card, you will need to be sure you do the following;
•preserve the exact file name.
•use the same folder name as when the camera stored the picture originally.
•make sure the EXIF data is preserved.
